not so chaotic....

the vet wasn't sure either but there's a good chance chaos ate something that messed up his system. He had his stool and blood tested on Monday which both came out clear and did not have any tummy troubles when Dr. Taylor checked him out. He feels better in the afternoons and mornings are rough. Last night he woke me at 1:30am and the puke monster became the poop monster (in a very watery version of this term).... this continuted every 60-90 minutes through 10am. He started to feel a bit better and started going a few hours between trips outside. We're very lucky as he does tell us. I'd rather have him wake me 7 times then wake up to piles.... or  puddles as it came out...
He didn't eat breakfast today but did eat a good dinner and is now begging for another trip outside... it's gonna be a long night.

he's moving a lot faster now...

summah..

summer is flying by and since we've returned from vacation we've worked a lot! Again lots going on in that realm...
Chaos has also been spending a lot of time at work but has also gotten to have some fun and even was invited over for a playdate today with his good buddy Budo who he stayed with while we were back east! He's now sleeping after a hard day of doggie games.
will download pics and recap our trip once I finally decompress from the stress of it all.... we also need to finally hang art on our new walls and share pics of the latest version of camp chaos...

bike events...

Last week Chaos and I snuck out on a hike with Mako and Sandy to Bear Creek Falls. Chaos is such a poser but sure is cute! I'm glad we went as this week has been very stressful.

we had the first of 2 large bike events hit town this week and it was exhausting. I worked from 7am on Monday until 7pm on Tuesday with only a 4 hour nap in there. Chaos, Dave and I did overnight bike security and it was exhausting. Chaos is a great guard dog and let us know about any noises. It was a large endeavor that included everything from setting up a 26' stage to organizing volunteers to cleaning it all up. 2000 cyclists and 1000 more people traveling with them...

Less then 24 hours later the influx of the bluegrass crowds are hitting town. I had hoped to take these next few days easy but it's not meant to be.

More photos eventually.... it's hard to get pics when you work more then you play...
Camp Chaos is transforming for bluegrass as well. We'll become home to 5 dogs and 5 people this weekend. Chaos is ready for all his friends to hit town and for the dog festival to begin.

prep work....

so we've been pretty busy with all the prep work for the trip. I'm actually feeling anxious as I am not anxious enough.... for this trip I pulled up my packing list from our cross country vacation spring '06 and made some modifications. Right now I am sitting in a hotel room so I had to be ready to go this morning. Dave and Chaos still have another 2 days at home. I know Dave's back is mostly packed and Chaos is all packed and the other items are sitting in the back of the Tacoma thanks to my OCD.
Good thing too as Dave didn't get home from work until after 10pm tonight- he leaves the house between 7:30-7:45am so that's one long day. Thankfully it was big Dave's day off so Chaos got dinner and some breaks at a decent time! He also had a puppy friend come over today and play (thanks Emmy!) and I may call for another to play tomorrow. I was feeling guilty about leaving him today so picked up some good road trip treats for him at Target this afternoon! I am so ready for vacation... it's been since last April (September didn't count as I had less then 1 week off between jobs to pack and move 2,600 miles! That's not a vacation!) Please forgive us if we're zombies when we return to Eastern Standard Time. We're going to need at least a day to recover from this last week!
