Reagge baby

Chaos and I went to budos house yesterday to watch his human brother so his parents could get out for a bit Jimmy is 9 months old and loves jamming out to reagge music. He's got some good rhythm and prefers this to jack Johnson. He has never even heard of the wiggles. I am sure we will do it again soon as my goal it to make his parents ski more then 5 days this winter! Looks like I need to make a j-Mon reggae list for my ipod!
Chaos was happy to gang with his doggie friends since he is still on the disabled list and will be for a while.

Take 2 treats and call me in the morning...

Chaos had the first ski injury of the season. He got too close to the ski edges and cut his paw on the metal. It wasn't too bad so I patched him up at home. A little puppy medrema and you will never see the scar! He is a bit scared but resting comfortably.

a dog's life

these days work has been busy and chaos has stayed home more often then not. This plus the early darkness leads to chaos being home alone a lot without much outside time. Today chaos even tried to get mu-nee kitty to play with him to help ease his boredom! She rested on the couch (throne) and he pushed his big puppy nose at her until she ran.
thankfully chaos plays by himself very well thanks to his toy collection. he has been playing with his beloved LL Bean ball, ropes and planet dog toys.
Tomorrow we'll ditch him to ski but then head into town to play with his friend Budo and new dog sister stella. I'm hoping this will alleviate some of the guilt from these last few weeks...

think outside the breadbox

many of you know my love of Life is Good shirts and this logo has long been one of my favorites. these days my new slogan would have to read:

that's right. the bread box. the doctor confirmed that I have a wheat allergy. ever try to not eat wheat? Wheat is in many of the foods we eat from pastas and breads to beer and baked goods. Go to your kitchen and read some labels... then read my new blog.

Things to do on a Saturday night

This is the infamous turkey bingo in telluride. We play bingo in hopes of winning a turkey for the upcoming day. Steve won the very first round. Dave gave a card away- the folks won a turkey and gave it to us. We hope to have them over for dinner soon. Chaos was left home with promises of good leftovers to come his way.

Good times

Chaos and I are enjoying a peaceful night alone. Budo has gone home and Dave is spending the weekend in durango with Al. Chaos is sprawled on the floor and I have one of the couches with the remote, a merlot-cab blend and a bar of really good chocolate.
We have two more quiet Saturdays before the season hits and the mountain is open. While I could have gone to town to catch a ski flick on the big screen with friends, I opted for a quiet night. Its time to relax before the craziness of winter hits.
Its going to be a busy one so book your spot at campchaos now.

Winter

Winter has already hit telluride and the mountain reported over 2 feet of snow. It's sad to see fall end quickly and with it safe walking. Count so far 2 almost big falls on icy side walks!
Chaos however is in doggy heaven. He and budo ran and chewed sticks in the snow this afternoon.

Trick or treats!

Chaos showed his maine pride for Halloween this year and sported a lobster outfit at work today. I will never understand why target doesn't carry big dog outfits too- we had to mess with the lobster to make it work. It was well worth the effort and monster enjoyed the attention.

flying over telluride

our fellow sugarloaf bob just moved to Telluride for the winter and took the daves and I up in his plane over telluride. We flew to Ouray (an hour's drive, 5 minute fly) over Silverton and to Ridgeway. It was a beautiful day and we all had fun. Bob even let dave fly for a bit...
here's the view from 15,000 feet!
Thanks Bob!

4Runner's first big trip

we piled in the 4runner today with jared and jess and took a trip to paonia to pick some apples and pumpkins. it was a good mellow day with a nice drive to mcclure pass. The 4runner proved to be very comfortable for 4 adults. We didn't test out the dog worthiness today as chaos had two friends over for the weekend and we were sure they would be more comfortable at home.
i took my dog pack on a good walk this morning and let them roam in the woods. the dogs needed a good run after a long red sox game last night. the power went out halfway through the game and our entertainment became the playing dogs by candlelight for an hour until the power and game resumed.

and the winner is...

We found the new car for campchaos. After hours of online shopping and comparisons we selected a 2007 white Toyota 4Runner. It has lots of space for Chaos & friends (his and ours), comfortable seats for all and can tackle the snow and mountains.
I went to Denver after work on Monday and met with the insurance company and then headed over to the Toyota dealer. I had planned on "just test driving" but everything fell into place (a check from state farm and good financing from the dealer) and ended up finding the right car for us. The conundrum was that I had planned on just testing and booked a round trip rental from Telluride. I called the company to see if I could return it elsewhere and it was possible for a small fee ($450) needless to say I brought the rental home. The Toyota went to live with Sam and Meghan in Summit County. Sam brought it down Thursday and Meghan joined in on Friday for a weekend in telluride. Friday we hit the town with some Telluride friends with a tour of the infamous spots. Beers at the buck, dinner at Fat Alley then a trip to play silly games at o'bannon's. The boys made plans to ski today with Jim and Jared up on Imogene Pass. Late night plans never go as planned and today the boys got a late start without Jared. They made a few hikes up for their turns the we all regrouped for pizza at Jim's this evening. We have become quite the dog house and picked up Mako for the night along with Chaos, Kaya and 7 month old Echo. They do well together and are learning each other's quirks.

the aftermath

things went much better then expected with the insurance company and now we are in the waiting game. Waiting to sign some papers, waiting for the old loan to clear, waiting for the remainder from the insurance money. We started car shopping online... we are leaning heavily towards a Subaru but it's hard to say what we will really end up with. We want a safe, reliable, low mileage mode of transport that is comfortable for more then 2 people and many dogs. It must be good for long drives and in all weather. We also don't want a crazy payment. I've now looked at everything from Honda Elements to Toyota Highlanders to Subaru Forester's. It's hard to play this game online and see what will really work for us. The closest car dealer is an hour away but there isn't much point in going until the waiting game is over with the insurance company.

We took yesterday off from all the stress and booked hour long massages for each of us at one of the locals spas. We were able to relax in the pool, hot tub and steam room during the day and enjoy an hour of de-stressing. Dave's masseuse was very gentle but helped to stretch out his sore back muscles. It helped him alot and today he is puttering around the house instead of resuming his spot on the couch where he has been all week.

ode to the tacoma

the tacoma had a good life... we spent almost 40,000 miles together and traveled from maine to colorado twice with it. Chaos had his favorite spots and spent lots of time with his head on the armrest or trying to sit in our laps to look out the window.
now we have to redefine what camp chaos should drive... another subaru, an suv or something else? I don't think we will do another truck. We want something that is good in the snow, great over mountains, comfortable, roomy, lots of cargo space and a comfortable spots for Chaos and his friends. Any suggestions?

A really bad case of the Mondays

So it was a rough Monday Dave got up before 4am to take Gary to the airport and run errands for work and on the way home fell asleep at the wheel. Dave has a case of whiplash and one scratch but walked away. Its one heck of a phone call to deal with at 8am on a Monday morning. The tacoma didn't fare as well as Dave and is totaled. That's ok because tacomas are easier to find then a good Dave. Plus telluride is an easy town to go carless in for a while- good thing we stocked up on dog food last week!

Its one of our favourite festivals this weekend and we get to spend it with our telluride folks and Gary. Gary flew out from mass to hang out and enjoy the festival with us. We are looking forward to a weekend with good beers, good times and good people. Happy Friday! Telluride has perfect weather sunny with a cool wind a d snow capped peaks around us.

rainy camping and film festival

the labor day weekend has been home to the telluride film festival for the last 35 years. we hit one of the films at the festival and also camped out with a group of friends. Chaos even got to bring his friend Budo along for the fun. The afternoon sky was hard to read and we all decided to go despite the dark clouds above. We made our way to the same spot as the week before but with a bigger crowed.

This weekend we had 8 people and 2 monsters for a night in the woods. We had a great night and the rain held off until 2am at which point we (mostly) agreed that it was time for bed. Chaos was still ready for more action. He loves being around people and Alissa was on tail patrol to ensure chaos kept his long fur out of the fire and we were all on guard to ensure Chaos and Budo stayed away from our marshmallows. We did let them lick the plates to help keep scents down for the active bear population. Although I am sure chaos would warn us before a bear swiped through our tent wall to get to us and our smells of squeeze cheese, potatoes, hot dogs, chocolate and graham crackers.

Scott and Alissa even brought a glow in the dark frisbee for some entertainment. We found other fun too like chopping up the old downed trees for additional fuel for our campfire and making smores. The next morning I got up early and took the dogs for a walk in the rain. Chaos had slept with us and Budo had snuggled with Jared and Jess and Chaos definitely woke them when we grabbed Budo that morning! The monsters plodded along the road not noticing two elk 20 feet away from them. After the walk and some breakfast the soggy monsters help to wake up the seven other campers by pushing tents. Dave and Maggie even ended up with a small lake we dubbed "lake daggie" at one end of their tent. We all broke camp down quickly and made way to the blue jay for a warm breakfast.

Sunday we managed to get 10 of us all together for American Violet which premiered at the festival. It was stunning movie about drugs, corrupt politics and race in Texas. I wish I could tell you it will be in theaters soon but that's still unknown. The movie is based a true story and the family it was based on was in Telluride as were the director, producer and some of the actors including Will Patton who played the coach in Remember the Titans. It reminded me of that and also of a John Grisham flick with the suspense and legal drama.

Dog sitting

We are dog sitting again and chaos is loving being with his friends and has even made friends with a kitty. Obie kitty is very different from mu-nee kitty and isn't grumpy at dogs. Obie even cuddles with chaos. Budo gives my monster nighttime kisses. It is all very sweet.

good times and campfires

Kendra came to Telluride and we hit the festival of the arts. There were some amazing artists there including Audrey Heller who did the poster for the festival. I love the perspective that she captured and the people climbing a martini class!

The Festival also included a free concert with Taj Mahal who did a lot of tunes on the soundtrack for Scrapple which is a must see for anyone who has ever considered themselves or wanted to be a ski bum or live in a ski town in the 70's.

We toured Telluride and drove up Imogene Pass which is a bit crazy and my knuckles went white more then once as I navigated up the one lane sketchy dirt road. I'm less afraid of my driving then the others that almost ran me off the road!

Kendra and I camped out near Gunnison on Monday then met up with her friend Tisha in Gunnison on Tuesday. We made smores and I made my first fire in 2 years. I'm happy to say I still have my camp chaos fire making skills!

This weekend I camped with Chaos and Team Dave for a fun night out in the woods. More Smore's and a late night game of glow in the dark Frisbee... which the camera captured pretty well. The trip was in honor of Dave's 30th birthday which hits tomorrow. He proved that despite being old he can still hang out by a campfire until 4am!

Chaos's swim in Trout Lake

As you know chaos loves to swim and I captured these shots last weekend as the monster swam his heart out for his tennis ball. He'll swim until he's freezing and won't stop until I drag him away from the lake!

A cold Blue lake and a warm fridge

Today we had free from obligation until the evening and took a hike with big Dave and budo to blue lake. It was about 6 miles round trip and the trail was a few steps above bear creek but not too difficult. We drove the tacoma to the top of bridal veil falls and started the hike from there. Despite our late start and tellurides tendency to have afternoon thunder storms we only encountered some light sprinkles. The trail is an old road that miners used to use and was uneven with lots of rocks. The lake was at over. 1200 feet in elevation and was freezing- but of course this did not deter chaos and budo from swimming and fetching tennis balls. Tennis ball karma was on our side today and we managed to not loose any of them- two weeks ago we lost all three in under an hour.
We could use some good karma as our refrigerator has been having issues. Its a 2005 and is stainless steel but for a while was posting temps from 50 to 90 degrees- not so good if you like cold juice and solid butter! This is why renting rocks- we don't have to pay to fix it! A small dose of security in an unsettled world. Dave figured out this weekend that it was not the electronics but that the little switch wasn't making the connection and did not know when to have the fan blow cold air in. A small bit of duct tape fixed the issue and our fridge is now 36 degrees. The warm fridge retarded the use of the new kitchen aid mixer and the pursuit of anadama bread- a favourite from our sugarloaf days and the best sandwiches ever.
Photographs to be posted soon of this and of recent events including Daves August ski expedition, the new kitchen aid mixer and enough chaos shots to keep you all up to date on everyones favourite golden boy!

summer is flying by and since we've returned from vacation we've worked a lot! Again lots going on in that realm...
Chaos has also been spending a lot of time at work but has also gotten to have some fun and even was invited over for a playdate today with his good buddy Budo who he stayed with while we were back east! He's now sleeping after a hard day of doggie games.
will download pics and recap our trip once I finally decompress from the stress of it all.... we also need to finally hang art on our new walls and share pics of the latest version of camp chaos...

east coast capers

so we're currently enjoying a trip back east... last night was our sleepover at colby's house. uncle spud put together a new big wheels for colby and he took it for a spin around the 'hood. colby is also now a blogger so check him out here. at three he can play the wiggles on the computer, throw out one liners and blog with the best of them.

we flew out this time but it's still a whirlwind tour... people to see, weddings to hit and more. Chaos is reported to be having a great time with his good friend Budo. We dropped him off at Budo's house on Wednesday and he barely looked back!

#803 and another Kate

We've had a few busy weeks here... as previous post had mentioned I had a lot going on at work and with the festivals. Plus we moved this last weekend. Our goal was to clear out the mess before my college friend, Kate, came into town from New Hampshire.

When Kate pulled into town Saturday night we had a functional living space, plates in their places and could relax a bit. Our new address is the same as the old but is now #803 instead of our old #501.

So we got to show off the town again and did some of our favorite spots, dinner at Excelsior and Fat Alley, hikes to Bear Creek and a sketchy drive to Bridal Veil Falls.

Next up is a busy fourth of July weekend then vacation will finally hit! We're flying into Boston on Wednesday and back to Colorado on Tuesday. It's a short trip and we don't even have time to head up to Sugarloaf. Chaos will be staying with Budo and is excited to have some quality time with his friend.

where did june go?

this is where june went...

it was lost among all these tents and bikers... but we did manage to find some of june here...

Bluegrass weekend had camp chaos living up to it's name with 5 monsters and 5 people and 5 days full of music and sunshine.

The recap of june goes like this... 3000 people for one event with 36 hours of work in two days, 12,000 people for bluegrass and 5 days of music, 2000 bikers with more then 900 questions on where to eat lunch and what to do in telluride.

We still have another week of june to make it through with one camp chaos move to it's new location. I'm expecting to climb about 200 flights of stairs before the process is finished.

bike events...

Last week Chaos and I snuck out on a hike with Mako and Sandy to Bear Creek Falls. Chaos is such a poser but sure is cute! I'm glad we went as this week has been very stressful.

we had the first of 2 large bike events hit town this week and it was exhausting. I worked from 7am on Monday until 7pm on Tuesday with only a 4 hour nap in there. Chaos, Dave and I did overnight bike security and it was exhausting. Chaos is a great guard dog and let us know about any noises. It was a large endeavor that included everything from setting up a 26' stage to organizing volunteers to cleaning it all up. 2000 cyclists and 1000 more people traveling with them...

Less then 24 hours later the influx of the bluegrass crowds are hitting town. I had hoped to take these next few days easy but it's not meant to be.

More photos eventually.... it's hard to get pics when you work more then you play...
Camp Chaos is transforming for bluegrass as well. We'll become home to 5 dogs and 5 people this weekend. Chaos is ready for all his friends to hit town and for the dog festival to begin.

Game on...

The gondola is spinning again and with it the tourists and their questions! As i am now working closer with them I have learned a lot more about the questions they ask and why they travel. I met a young couple setting out on a 90 day adventure and a couple in retirement on a 3 week journey. It is fun but makes for a long day which doesn't end @ 5pm... I'll see them after and still be the info source. It makes me love my weekend carhartts even more! Chaos came to play telluride guru on Monday and even he was tired by the end of the day! It's hard work being the cute token telluride dog!

change of pace

Now that we're no longer worried about where to live we can focus in on the fun things again. My favorite festival, Mountainfilm hit town this weekend and we spent the weekend enjoying the culture. Last year Lynn Hill and John Harlin III signed my books and this year I found Jennifer Lowe-Anker and David Breashears to sign at the reading frenzy.

Work has an insane camera~ the nikon d-100. This isn't a simple point and shoot. it's a big monster and takes incredible pics. I had some good luck with it the other night and have taken some great doggie pics of chaos and his friends. It's pretty phenomenal to be able to catch the water droplets as they fly through the air.
Chaos has some pretty cute friends but they're not always easy to catch being still. The camera has the speed to be able to capture these monsters in all their cuteness. Here's some shots of chaos, mako and murphy being their goofy selves.

and the new camp chaos location is....

one building over! That's right we're staying at parker ridge! (No Evie we do not have our address yet...)

This July we get to move down one flight over 300 yards and up 2 flights of stairs. It's a one bedroom and smaller but has great storage. It also has a remodeled kitchen with new cabinets, new convection oven, a fridge with the freezer on the bottom and isn't stark white!

Dave called two ads in the paper today. Both had potential. We looked at a two bedroom in the next complex over but it was more expensive then our current house and had no garage. The one bedroom we're moving to is less expensive and has no garage but as mentioned above it has some features that make up for it. Our new landlord has a dog that Chaos has slowly made friends with over the last year and a half. When Dave called the ad today we knew it was one of two neighbors and when he figured out who she was he introduced himself as Chaos's dad. For a dog named Chaos he has a great reputation. She's pretty excited to rent it to someone she knows and we're excited to know who we're renting from.

This takes a lot of stress away. As I posted last week there has been a lot of ad's in the paper but options were slim. The one we looked at last week was a basement dwelling with limited natural light and a funky damp smell. It was cheap but there was a good chance that our medical bills and cabin fever would increase. Any more then 6" and we would have no sunlight at all. We will have more light in our new place and our plants will also be happy with the move.

Thursday, May 15, 2008

32 ads

32 long term rental ads in the telluride daily planet
6 do not allow dogs
1 does not allow cats
12 are more then 40 minutes from town
15 are priced over $2000 per month
7 are studios
2 do not have real kitchens
4 have already been rented

my math isn't awful. there is overlap in the categories...plus it's midnight and i'm not really going to count- just trying to outline the conundrums that we face. each morning we grab the paper and a sharpie and cross off any that are over $2000, over 40 minutes from town or studios. We're willing to beg someone to take Chaos if we give a larger deposit so we ignore the no dogs unless it is in an area that really does not let dogs live there. (this is sometimes due to people building developments in ELK Calving areas... so my dog can't live there but 500 people can???) We are also not willing to pay $1600/month to cook on a hot plate and microwave.

32 ads and we're left with one possible place to rent. A drive by showed us why it was in town and cheap... basement with well windows. We'll still look at it but optimism is not running high.

Disappointment

We found a great place not to far from work and with woods around us. We were going to sign a contract this week and put down a deposit when she called and let us know that the current person changed her mind and is not going to move out after all! The search resumes...

And the bubble burst...

We like where we live. It's a cookie cutter condo in a nice neighbourhood and 500 yards from the ski lifts. We had a year lease that was up in October, 2007 and last Monday the owner told us he was selling the condo. He offered to let us purchase it at a mere 345k. We thought about talking to a lender but Realised that even if we were somehow approved that it was a lot for a deed restricted condo that can only increase value in small incremental and that's a huge monthly payment. I started in on the classifieds and making calls to the 2 ads that were pet friendly- upon interview of the animal. We looked at them on Wednesday evening and found a great one - plus they loved chaos. We haven't signed a lease but it's moving forward and looking good. We'll keep you posted on the impending move of campchaos!

All the cool kids are doing it...

The boo-boo buddies
We have definitely needed a sense of humour to get through this weekend. Less then 30 hours after chaos was bit his friend mako was too. We were with the dogs in the backyard hanging out with some friends and mako was bit over a tennis ball. Another trip to the world's best vet and more stitches! Both dogs are recovering well and have no lasting damage- just scars.

9 stitches

yup, the little monster now has 9 stitches in his back leg. he's resting on the dog bed at my feet and is still in a stupor from the sedative that the vet gave him. I ended up going inside while he was waking and hung out in the pen with him. When I went to pay the bill he got up and followed me to the front office. he was a bit loopy and still is. he even fell when he tried to walk upstairs to the condo so dave carried him.

he hasn't had a bath in over a month and was actually headed home to the tub when the incident happened. Looks like he really will go through anything to skip tubby time!

we went to the norwood vet today... they tend to be a little more comforting even though they are further away. Dr. Taylor even matched the bandage to Chaos's Boston Red Sox collar and made it look like he had his on Red Sox on...

Ouch

Chaos is currently hanging out with the vet after suffering a bite from a German shepherd. He is fine but needs a few stitches to close the gash. The vet will also give us some antibiotics to keep infections away. He is a tough pup and was limping but in good spirits until the vet sent us away. She sedated him to make the process easier.

my blackberry

I think I overcompensated for my lack of phone features... instead of just getting a basic phone I got the blackberry pearl. This is commonly called a crackberry as users tend to become addicted. I can now:
~see who's calling
~send text & pic messages again
PLUS
~sync with my outlook address book and calendar
~email on the device
~surf the web
~upload my own tunes for ringtones
~upload my favorite pics onto the phone
~and many things I haven't begun to figure out....
Loving the email feature and am getting pretty good at crackberry typing as well. The pearl has a QWERTY keyboard but has 2 letters per key to keep the size compact. Oh yeah... it's also pink.

staying in touch

my cell phone is having some operational issues and it's messing with my world. my exterior display and internal display work intermittently. This means:
~I can't read my text messages or send them
~I have no idea who may be calling and what picking up the phone may entail
~I can't use the camera phone and send out pix messages
~I have no idea who I may have missed a call from
~I can't access my contacts in the phone and therefore can only call my speed dials or by dialing the numbers (how retro)
the kicker is that dave and I have the same exact phone model that we got at the same exact time. As you may know dave is a little tougher on little gadgets then I am given that his lives in the pocket of his work pants along with 2 handfuls of dirt, paint chips and other pieces of stuff. His phone looks beat up but works fine. Mine is still clean and pretty but has these issues. This been going on for over a week now and it's only getting worse. I finally broke down and ordered a new one but now have to wait for it to arrive....

hikes and taxes

we've finally completed our 2007 returns and are questioning why the IRS doesn't consider Chaos to be a dependent. He seems pretty dependent on us to provide food, water, potty time and fun stuff...

...like hiking and skiing. He went out Friday, Saturday and Sunday and is one exhausted pup!

Chaos Cookies

How to make Chaos Cookies:

Preheat oven to 375

Mix dry stuff first

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

combine in the mushy stuff

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
Mix well. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick dough.

Cut out shapes of your choice (chaos likes snowflakes!)

Place on baking sheet and bake 20 minutes- times may vary depending on your altitude and oven!

Cool before giving to your favorite monster. Store in airtight container once cool and before your monster can find them on the cooling rack. Makes enough to share with friends!
As you can tell all ingredients are edible for two and four legged friends... they are a bit bland for my taste but sometimes I brush the hot tops with honey for the monster. It is a bit of a process but very easy to do. They are Chaos tested and approved.

camp chaos hits the trail

we took a break from skiing this weekend and went for a snowshoe up Bear Creek. We had Murphy the golden doodle for the weekend and also invited Budo along since his parents just had a baby and he needs the playtime.

the trail is also the location where skiers dump out from some of telluride's extreme terrain and we saw around 10 skiers and riders headed down. Murphy was able to take down two snowboarders and I managed to distract the other two with treats so they wouldn't join in on the fun. But I guess if you can handle the terrain you should also be able to deal with 3 monsters chasing you down the trail. Chaos had a lot of fun with his friends and we all enjoyed the sunshine.
Dave and chaos are now sacked out on the couch watching The Goonies... this 1985 classic became a lot cooler since we visited the town and beach featured in the movie during our spring 2006 road trip. Here's chaos running after the waves.

team frisco

camp chaos headed north last weekend to give Courtney a break and spent some time with the young team frisco...
We drove up in the truck with sara & colleen. the gals spent the night with sam & meg then we took an early morning trip to DIA for their flight back to Boston. I'm glad they were on the early flight because as the day wore on I-70 became messy and missing flights isn't much fun. We were out on the roads before the crazy people but also before the plows hit in full force... it was slow going but still safer then later in the day.
Chaos made sure to pack his superman cape for the trip as we brought along some netflix including Underdog for the weekend. Hunter made sure Chaos put this on for movie time! Jon was stuck at Copper when the I-70 was backed up with an accident and Dave visited with Sam and missed the excitement of movie night.
we spent Saturday hanging in frisco and managed to sneak in some nap times... some of us were more willing then others for this endeavour.
Sunday Hannah and Hunter went off to their final Scooter's and Dave, Haedyn and I cruised over to Kokomo and some mellow green terrain to work on our stopping and turning skills. It was a good weekend and we're still recovering from all the good times...

somebody call singer...

Because these guys ripped it up in Telluride!

Good times in Telluride~ Sara and Colleen made the trip out this winter and we had a great visit... they skied hard, hit all the telluride hotspots and had no turtle travels! Whoo-hoo!
